Is this still mindmapping?
The user has limited possibilities in placing topics where he or she wants. The are roughly four positions where topics can be placed (right, bottom, left, top). Strangely enough the topics on top and bottom are displayed rather as an organogram instead of a radial mindmap. Other mindmapping solutions don’t seem to have this (problem). We can conclude mindmaps created in DropMind Web visually don’t look as good as mindmaps created in other applications. Furthermore ‘hardcore’ mindmappers won’t find …

Since some days I’m not only the owner of an iPad but also of iMindMap Mobile HD (V1.0.0) – the new mind map application from ThinkBuzan. Within just a few minutes after receiving the app the first branches were made and WOW!, this is mind mapping as Tony Buzan preaches it! Not just structuring thoughts and ideas but drawing and stimulating the right brain more than in other so called mind map tools. It is really a pleasure for the brain to see the rounding’s and automatically generated colors.
Yes, this …

This morning I couldn’t wait to grab my iPhone and download this new app. At last there is a truly intuitive MindMapping app for the iPhone – and it’s FREE! Download it via iTunes Store.
My iPhone is packed with similar products but this one really stands out. Now you can create beautiful mindmaps with just using your fingers. This is completely different from the other Mindmapping apps where the software determines the way your mindmap looks. iMindmap Mobile enables you to produce BUZAN proof MindMaps on the small screen of …

The latest Mindmanager version for Mac OSX users MindManager version 7. Mindmanager version 8 – the latest and greatest from manufacturer Mindjet – is not available for the Apple platform, yet.  Until now, no announcement has been made as to when a version 8 for Mac OSX wil be made available.
Being a newbie at using Mindmapping software, I was pleasantly surprised by the way Mindmanager 7 runs on my Macbook. Everything is running smoothly, and without help files or other instructions I was able to make mindmaps on the fly.

Seavus DropMind is a new and very interesting mind mapper. I worked with the beta versions for desktop and the web to get a first impression and I didn’t have any problems.
The layout of the desktop version as well as the navigation reminds me of MindManager, although with much more limited functions than its big brother. DropMind can only import MindManager files, not other formats so far. Exporting can currently be done to .pdf and .jpg. DropMind has the necessary folder styles and templates with which a basic mind …
