This enabled all TED fans at home, the office or wherever to not only watch the live video stream but too also view a live mindmap stream on the web! Is this still mindmapping?
The user has limited possibilities in placing topics where he or she wants. The are roughly four positions where topics can be placed (right, bottom, left, top). Strangely enough the topics on top and bottom are displayed rather as an organogram instead of a radial mindmap. Other mindmapping solutions don’t seem to have this (problem). About a year ago a Hypershifter created a project plan with task information and sent the file as a PDF to a fellow Hypershifter. The latter thought his colleague was kidding. Nearly all text in the (sub)topics had disappeared.
After this strange problem occurred a few more times we discovered the source of the problem, MindManager for Windows export functionality. A mindmap created in Windows and exported as a PDF file can give problems on Mac OSX. When opening the PDF it is possible part of or all text is …
