Live mindmapping experiment at TEDxAmsterdam

TEDxAmsterdam is on 20 November in Amsterdam. The day-long event will bring together 450 opinion and business leaders from all walks of life to listen to top speakers with an ‘idea worth spreading’, watch amazing tech demo’s, get inspired by local talent, and enjoy superb art and entertainment.

TEDxAmsterdamTEDxAmsterdam aims to engage the audience in a conversation about the future and their role in building it. Attendence is by invitation only and brings together opinion and business leaders, artists and entrepreneurs, thinkers and doers who share the ambition to change the world. Attendance is free for those selected to take part. To be able to present live all the idea’s worth spreading for a world wide audience and be virtually present at TEDxAmsterdam an innovative experiment will be conducted. A selection of speakers will be live mindmapped and published directly to the web. The experiment will be executed by a team of experts from different organizations using MindMeister on-line mindmapping technology. The live mindmappers are Alexis van Dam (Hypershifters.com) Ronald Vijfhuizen (WorldofMinds.com)  and Jerre Lubberts (aHaCoaching.nl).

MindMeister is an innovative mindmapping tool for online collaborative brainstorming and sharing information and ideas. Hypershifters.com is a community which facilitates the sharing of knowledge about tools for idea visualization. aHa!Coaching a mindmapping training center and World of Minds supports change processes in large organizations using visualization techniques and interaction.

TEDx

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. Our event is call TEDx Amsterdam, where x=independently organized TED event.
